THE ART MADE TO BE STEPPED ALL OVER

Many of us are living our daily life by the clock with a rush to get to the next! Well, this post is helping me too, to be more aware of the surroundings around- become aware & appreciate!
When have we last crossed the street noticing the road below us? When in Madrid, this is something that you will not miss. Seeing opportunity just under his feet, Bulgarian artist Christo Guelov wondered how a mundane street crossing could be turned into a thing of beauty.  Like the design of a chair or the face of a watch, it turns out the possibilities are probably endless. His work attempts to bring awareness to the artistic beauty all around us. For his Madrid-based series, Funnycross, Guelov uses bold colors and striking geometric designs to turn simple crosswalks into playful interactive street art.
In addition to aesthetics, the action also refers to a security issue and appeals to the need for improving the visibility of pedestrian crossings using visual impact as a way of communication. Needless to mention, his art will have people enjoy taking a tour of the city by foot.

Below are some of Christo Guelov’s Funnycross creations
